Gazprom has found a fellow traveler to Great Britain

As the Kommersant supposed, Gazprom and Dutch Gasunie have preliminary come to an agreement on construction of a new string of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. The point is the gas pipeline, which will be parallel to two existing strings of the gas pipeline in the sea, and then through Germany to the Netherlands and Great Britain by land. BP was also a pretender in this project, but it hasn’t decided about its participation.

On Monday evening, within the visit of President Vladimir Putin to the Netherlands, the Gazprom’s Head Alexei Miller and Dutch Gasunie’s CEO Paul van Gelder signed “a letter of intent” on extension of the Nord Stream gas pipeline. The document is not legally binding.
