Government investment into geological exploration in 2015 might fall by 19%

The volume of the Government investment into geological exploration in 2015 taking into account the correction will make up 29.2 bln roubles against 31.5 bln roubles planned by the budget.

It is connected with a difficult geopolitical situation and unfavorable environment in the raw materials market.

In March the Minister of Natural Resources, S. Donskoi, said that the volume of the Government investment into geological exploration in 2014 reached its maximum – 36 bln roubles. The volume of the Government and private investment into geological exploration in 2014 rose to the level of 290 bln roubles a year. According to Mr. Donskoi, within 2 years of realization of the Government program (2013-2014) the budget received about 250 bln roubles of revenue.

In February Mr. Donskoi expected that in 2015 the volume of the Government investment into geological exploration would fall by 15%.
