Rosneft’s project of a JV on helicopters production for working at the shelf requires 3 bln euro of investment

​The Russian-Italian project on the production of helicopters for Rosneft is assessed at 3 bln euro.

The project of Rostech and Finmeccanica will require 3 bln euro of investment. The period of realization of the project is 2025. By that time 160 helicopters for Rosneft will  be constructed, the Assistant to the President of Russia, Y. Ushakov, said.

According to him, a multifunctional high-capacity helicopter can be used at working at the shelf.

In late 2014 Rostech, Finmeccanica and Rosneft signed a 3-party agreement on the foundation of a JV on the basis of HeliVert  - it should be a JV of AgustaWestland  and Helicopters of Russia.

The first products of the enterprise should be helicopters AW189. Besides the construction, the supply, post-sale maintenance and training to operate the helicopters will be held.
