Russian Government makes shale direction a priority

The Russian Government has made changes to the list of state programs, reorienting the shipbuilding industry to import substitution. The decision, published today on the website of the Cabinet, says that now a priority for the industry will be the construction of ships for offshore operations.

The interdepartmental commission under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Trade revealed a significant dependence of the domestic industry from foreign equipment and technology for the development of offshore oil and gas fields.
