Copper production at Udokan to start in 2019

"Baikal mining company” does not plan to start copper production at Udokan deposit before 2019, Ministry of Natural Resources and Industrial Policy of the Zabaikalye region reports.
In 2016 Baikal Mining Company starts designing of the facilities of the Udokan mining-and-metallurgical works. In 2014-2015, the company designed an investment project on the development of energy infrastructure of BAM and Transsib (project of “EnergoBAM”), which also comprises power supply to the combine. “Baikal Mining Company” will co-finance the first stage of construction of “EnergoBAM”.
