LNG supply route from Yamal to be operated by a Japanese company

The large Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines has decided to be the first in the world to open all-year-round regular transport supplies to the area of the Arctic Ocean. This enterprise will start working from 2018, the head office of Mitsui O.S.K. Lines said on July 9th.

Using the ice-breaking tankers of a special construction, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will start to ship LNG to the countries of Europe and Eastern Asia which will be produced at the plant on the Yamal peninsula.

This project is now being promoted by Novatek in cooperation with Total. Mitsui O.S.K. Lines informed that the vessels will go to the countries of Europe all year round. This trip will take about 11 days.
