Since the beginning of July, Nord Stream gas pipeline is 94% loaded

Since the beginning of July, the Nord Stream gas pipeline with capacity of 55 billion cubic meters is 94% loaded. This was announced by deputy head of the National Energy Security Fund (NESF) Alexei Grivach.

The expert explains that according to the NESF’s calculations, the NEL onshore bend of the Nord Stream offshore pipeline is now 125% loaded, which is by 25% above the design capacity. Earlier the gas pipeline was 75% loaded, taking into account the European Commission restrictions on the use of the OPAL’s facilities. As for the second German gas pipeline - the OPAL bend, 75% of its capacity work, while previously the European Regulators permitted only 60%.
