South Stream Transport to start negotiations on “Turkish Stream”

The operator company, created for the construction of an offshore part of the gas pipeline “South Stream”, South Stream Transport cancelled a contract with Italian Saipem on the construction of the first branch of the marine gas pipeline. There will start negotiations with potential contractors on laying of the first branch of the “Turkish Stream”, information management of OJSC “Gazprom” states.

In December 2014, Russia took a decision to refuse from the construction of “South Stream” in favour of the “Turkish Stream”.
