Slovakia doesn’t increase gas pipeline’s capacity to the Ukraine

​The planned increase of the pipeline’s capacity by which the Ukraine receives reverse gas from Slovakia will not take place in 2015, Eustream said.

In July 2015 it was announced that the throughput capacity of the bordering terminal Budince will grow from 40 mln cubic m a day to 57 mln cubic m a day by December 1st. however, until now neither the exact date of the project’s realization, nor new capacity of the pipeline have been agreed.

“This is a difficult goal. The project requires investment and additional construction, a source in Eustream said. Currently we run technical analysis and wait for permissions from various governmental structures”.

A representative of Eustream also said that Ukrtransgas recently insisted on the project’s soon realization. However, the parties haven’t signed any agreement as Eustream doesn’t plan to sign anything, until all details of the project are analyzed.
