Lukoil has invested $1.3 billion to Romania

Lukoil has invested $1.3 billion to Romania, the Vice President for Refining and Sales V. Nekrasov says. Within the last 6 years, the Romanian budgets have received taxes of $3.3 billion, and this year the sum will be $720 million.

Within the period of operation at Petrotel-Lukoil, investment to the oil refinery have been $540 million. Lukoil has executed a large reconstruction of the plant, having shifted to Euro 5 fuel production. The depth of refining is 99%.

Another side of the investment and the taxes paid is despite the fact that Petrotel-Lukoil has accumulated losses of $700 million, due to macroeconomic conditions in which the company operates today, Mr. Nekrasov says. He claims that the results of the 20-year operation of Lukoil in Romania were destroyed within 5 days. They were stunned that Petrotel-Lukoil was stopped under the verdict of the prosecutor’s office.
