Nenets Autonomous Area intends to increase oil extraction on the account of large companies

​Oil extraction in the Nenets Autonomous Area has risen, Vice-Governor of the Nenets Autonomous Area, O. Belak, said.

Today oil extraction in the Nenets Autonomous Area is 13-14 mln tons a day.

In the mid-term perspective it is planned to increase it in the region and in the neighboring shelf in the water area of the Barents and Kara Seas.

The main reserve of oil extraction growth in the Nenets Autonomous Area is the putting into operation of new deposits of the distributed fund.

Oil extraction growth is planned to be due to the realization of the projects of Rosneft, Bashneft-Polyus and Rusvietpetro.

Rosneft plans to increase oil extraction by means of development of the Labagansky deposit and putting into operation of the Naulsky deposit.
