A new oil refinery to be built in Mangystau region?

The construction of the 4th Kazakhstani oil refinery is possible in the Mangystau region. M.Bortnik, senate member said about it.
“The matter has been agreed with the regional akim. We have good chances. The project has started to be realized as far back as in the Soviet times. There required new approaches in the economics now. But we have oil, transport logistics, specialists, which work in this sector. I think, our region is one of the main applicants,” he said.
