Kazakhstan speaks about a large oil field.

The decrease in oil production, expected in 2016, in the future Kazakhstan planned to compensate by putting the "Kashagan" field into operation, the Energy Minister Vladimir Shkolnik stated at a meeting with the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

In 2015 Kazakhstan produced 79.5 million tons of oil, including gas condensate, which is 1.7 percent less than in 2014. As previously reported, in 2016 it is expected to reduce production in Kazakhstan to 77 million tons due to the depletion of deposits.
