Rosneft interested in privatization of Saudi Aramco- Sechin

​Rosneft is interested in the privatization of Saudi Aramco, Rosneft’s head, I. Sechin, said.

We would support the news on the start of a possible privatization of Saudi Aramco. It will allow to increase the transparency of its operation, will give a serious volume of new information on the potential of this company to the participants of the market, including its resource potential, efficiency of its operation, he said.

Sechin thinks that in case private investors come to the fully Government owned oil companies, even with minority stakes, it will reduce the dependence of the made by these companies decisions on the purely political factors, increase the responsibility of managers before shareholders, and in global – will contribute to the creation of equal conditions of operation.

Saudi Arabia considers an opportunity of holding an IPO of Saudi Aramco. The decision on its delisting will be made in the coming few months.
