European Commission and Gazprom remain satisfied with each other
Gazprom and the European Commission have officially commented on talks on the antitrust case, initiated by the European market regulator against the Russian company, which took place in Brussels. The Russian Federation was represented by the Deputy Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky and deputy chairman of the gas holding company’s Board Alexander Medvedev. The EC's position was traditionally represented by Margrethe Vestager, the European Commissioner for Competition.
The press release of Gazprom notes that the meeting was held in a constructive way. The negotiators are ready to continue to search for solutions to the problems that would satisfy both sides.
