The Board of Directors of Gazprom to consider an agreement with NOVATEK and Gazpromneft

The Board of Directors of OJSC “Gazprom” will consider a question on an approval of an agreement with OJSC “NOVATEK” and OJSC “Gazpromneft” as a deal, it is interested in, follows from an agenda of the meeting.
“Gazprom” and “Novatek” are co-owners of “Nortgas”, which develops a large gas deposit in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Area. In November NOVATEK acquired 49% shares of “Nortgas” from F.Akhmedov for $1.375 billion. Gazpromneft asserted about its interest to get 51% share of “Gazprom” in “Nortgas” and become its owner after. In December FAS approved a request of “Gazpromneft” on an acquisition of the shares of “Nortgas”.
