Oil deposit has been discovered in Saratov region

​The oil deposit has been discovered in the Rovensky district of the Saratov region, the Minister of Industry and energy of the region, S. Lisovsky, said.

“LukBelOil” Ltd. on the results of drilling in the Rovensky district received the first oil extracted in the flushing well. The planned output is over 800 cubic m a day. “We haven’t long discovered such deposits with such output. This is good news”, the Minister said.

In 2014, 2.238 mln tons of reference fuel were extracted in the Saratov region, including 1.265 mln tons of oil with gas condensate, which is by 7% less than in 2013. In 2014 the gas extraction was by 2% more than in 2013. “The reason of oil extraction fall is the blocking of extraction areas. In 2015 we expect the oil extraction fall and gas extraction rise. The oil price will play an important role”, Mr. Lisovsky said.
