Russian FAS offers to liberalize gas export completely
The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has said for the full liberalization of the gas export without any restrictions, for a start, independent producers can be admitted to export auctions, the deputy head of the Service Anatoly Golomolzin reported on the margins of the conference Flame 2016.
"The export for oil and LPG is free, LNG has the ability for export. We believe that the possibility to free the export of network gas will also be, this is one of the issues being discussed. You know that in the decisions of the Presidential Commission on Energy the need of creating a level playing field was formulated as the principle. In particular, Gazprom says it has a duty to ensure the security of supply and to provide the population with gas at regulated tariffs. Independent companies don’t have such commitments. A level playing field can be created or by degrading the conditions for one of them, or by improving the conditions of others. We are going to improve the conditions for all,"- he said.
