The European Commission finds Ukrainian requirements of the price of Russian gas unrealistic

The Ukraine continues to insist on gas price in the amount of $268 per 1 thousand cubic meters.

Such statement was made by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Y..Prodan late in the evening on June 9th.
"We have confirmation of the price that we demand for ourselves - $268, but it is a matter of negotiation," - he said.

"There is an understanding of the price, which is confirmed by conclusions of international experts, and I have no reason not to trust them," - said the Ukrainian Minister.

He noted that the mechanism to reduce the price by abolishing export duties, proposed by Russia, doesn’t satisfy Kiev, because the solution can be easily reversed by reversing the decision of the Russian Government, or because of the level of prices.
