In the first five months, the transshipment of bulk cargo in Russian sea ports grew by 1.5% and made up 139.8 million tons, the press centre of the Association of commercial seaports reports.
Including seaports of the country shipped 81.0 million tons of crude oil that is by 7.4% less than in the same period of the previous year. The transshipment of oil products increased by 17.1% and amounted to 51.7 million tons; transshipment of liquefied natural gas was 5.5 million tons (+11.5%).
In January-May 2014, Russian seaports increased their freight turnover by 6.7% as compared with January-May 2013 to 251.7 million tons.
