Gas pumping tariff might be increased by less than 2%

​The level of indexation of the tariff for gas pumping from July 1st will make up less than 2%, the deputy Minister of Economic Development, N. Podguzov, said.

According to the project of the order of FAS, from July 1st the tariff for gas pumping by the route pipelines of Gazprom is suggested being increased by 2%. The independent from Gazprom gas producers have repeatedly asked to lower the tariff. The Vice-PM, A. Dvorkovich, who controls the fuel and energy sector in the Government, was supposed to discuss this issue with the first Vice-PM, I. Shuvalov.

Yes, the volume of indexation will be slightly lower… It is likely to be less than 2%, Mr. Podguzov, said.

Previously the head of FAS, I. Artemiev, spoke of a possibility of tariff increase from July 1st by 1-2%, RIA Novosti reports. He said that taking into account the volatility of oil prices it is reasonable to pay attention to a possible overpayment for gas pumping by independent producers after July 1st 2016 later – in Gazprom’s tariff indexation which will take place from January 1st 2017.
