UC Rusal to invest $200 million into bauxite mine in Guinea

UC Rusal – the largest world aluminium producer – has started implementing Dian Dian project in the Republic of Guinea; it’s planned to constrcut a bauxite mine with capacity of 3 million tons and infrastructure by2016, the aluminium company reports.

At the first phase the investments will make up $200 million. Much of these funds will be invested in the creation of the facilities of a railway and port infrastructure in the territory of Guinea. In the future, UC Rusal plans to increase the production to 6 million tons. The project implementation provides for the creation of facilities for transportation, storage and the processing of bauxite.
