SOCAR drills a new oil well at the Caspian

SOCAR drills a new well at the “Oil Rocks” deposit in the Azeri sector of the Caspian. The daily output of the well #2594, drilled from the platform #2585, is 30 tons of oil, its project deepness reached 2,330 m.
SOCAR currently realizes the program of stabilization and rise of oil extraction. With this purpose SOCAR holds drilling works at the onshore and offshore deposits in Azerbaijan.
In Jan-May 2015 SOCAR extracted 3.46 mln tons of oil at its onshore and offshore deposits, by 1.14% less than in Jan-May 2014 (3.5 mln tons).
