Oil production at Kashagan postponed

The start of the oil production at the Kashagan field on the Kazakh shelf of the Caspian Sea has been postponed and is expected soon.

“Now, they postponed from September 9th of 2013, it isn’t clear how long, we wait for it from day to day,” – the Kazakh Minister of Oil and Gas U.Karabalin reluctantly reported.

On September 7th of 2013, during the briefing on signing of agreements with CNPC, S.Mynbaev stated with optimism that the production at the Kashagan field would start on September 9th of 2013.
