FAS fines Sakhalin Energy 50 thousand rubles for denial of Rosneft access to the consortium’s gas transportation system

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has fined Sakhalin Energy 50 thousand rubles, the authority reported.

The penalty was imposed under the case of the denial of Rosneft access to the gas transmission system of the consortium on Sakhalin for failure to justify the refusal of access of Rosneft to the project’s system. The FAS notes that some of the requested documents were provided late and some of the documents weren’t provided at all.

As it was previously reported, Rosneft also filed a lawsuit against Sakhalin Energy on July, 7the. The oil Company requires the consortium to ensure access to free capacities of the main gas pipeline of the Sakhalin-2 project (the Trans-Sakhalin pipeline system) by giving the plaintiff specifications and the point of connection to the transmission system of Sakhalin-2 for transportation of natural gas in the volume of up to 8 billion cubic meters per year from the OPF Lun to bend to the location site of the LNG plant near the village of Ilinskoe. According to the court, Rosneft sent these requests to Sakhalin Energy on October 21th, November 14th, 2013 and on February 24, 2014
