Wintershall does not expect the failure of its transaction with Gazprom.

In autumn 2014 Wintershall expects to complete the deal on its asset swap with Gazprom, the CEO Wintershall R.Zele stated on September 9th, 2014. As a result of the deal Gazprom will increase interest in the joint ventures on Trade and gas storage in Europe – Wingas, Wieh and WIEE – up to 100%, as well as the operator of gas storage facilities - Astora, owning Rehden and Jemgum UGS in Germany, and Haidach in Austria. Gazprom will also receive a 50% stake in Wintershall Noordzee, managing exploration and production of oil and gas in the southern North Sea (the Netherlands, the UK and Denmark). Wintershall, in turn, will receive a 25.01% economic interest in the project to develop and produce sections 4A and 5A of the Achimov deposit in the Urengoy GNGKM. No cash payments are provided under the agreement.
