Transneft starts construction of new oil pumping stations for ESPO-1

​The construction of 3 new oil pumping stations has started in the Irkutsk region in the framework of the project of expansion of ESPO throughput capacity to 80 mln tons of oil a year. The realization of the project was ordered to “Center of ESPO project management” Ltd (affiliate of Transneft).

To realize the project of expansion of ESPO throughput capacity, the construction of 6 new oil pumping stations at the site from the head pumping station Tayshet to the oil pumping station Skovorodino and reconstruction of 15 existing stations will be required, as well as the increase of the volume of reservoir park by 50 thousand cubic m, construction of objects of external electric energy supply – 6 substations PS 220/10 kW and high-voltage power transmission lines with the total length of over 950 km.

6 new oil pumping stations - #2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9 – should be constructed on the territory of the Irkutsk region. The construction of 3 of them - #3, 6, 9 –starts in September 2015. The period of completion of construction is July 2017. The general contractor has been determined by today. Engineering research works at the construction sites are over at another 3 stations, and now the development of project documentation is held. It is planned to start the construction in mid 2016.
