In 2015, CNPC may start gas production in Uzbekistan

CNPC may start the production of natural gas in Uzbekistan at the end of 2015, a source, close to the project, reported today.

“In 2014, it’s planned to begin to construct the facilities at contracted area; early gas at discovered fields may be received by the end of 2015,” – the source reported.

It was reported the day before that CNODC,CNPC’s subsidiary, and Uzbekneftegaz created a joint venture New Silk Road Oil And Gas Company Ltd on the further exploration and development of the gas condensate fields in Uzbekistan. The raw material base for the joint venture will be fields, discovered during geological exploration, carried out at oil and gas-bearing areas of Uzbekistan by CNODC.
