“Gazpromneft” carried out 15-staged hydraulic fracturing

“Gazpromneft-Khantos” put into operation a horizontal well. There was carried out a large-volume 15-staged hydrofracturing on it for the first time by the “Gazpromneft” Group of companies. It became possible due to an appliance of non-spherical technology of drilling in and well stimulation.

Multi-stage hydrofracturing in the borehole of the Yuzhno-Priobskoye deposit has been carried out within the framework of operations with difficult-to-recover oil resources, the press-service of the company states. The length of the horizontal section made up 760 meters, the depth of the well – 4.2 km. Peculiarity of positioning of the horizontal section is that it allows operation on inflow stimulation throughout the period of well production and lift restrictions in the number of hydrofracturings.
