Ministry of Energy expects oil extraction growth by 6.3 mln tons in Russia in 2015

The Ministry of Energy expects the oil extraction growth in Russia by 6.3 mln tons to 533 mln tons in 2015, the deputy head of the department for extraction and oil transportation of the Ministry of Energy, A. Tereshok, said.

The extraction of independent companies in 2015 will grow by 7 mln tons to 21 mln tons in  2015, he said.

New taxes for oil companies

The Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Finance made a decision on new taxes for oil companies, Mr. Tereshok said.

The new tax regime is to be applied not only for new deposits but for the existing ones as well, he said.

Quotas for deposits will be discussed, he said. The new tax regime will be introduced only in 2017, he added.
