The number of drilling units in the world, not considering the USA and Canada, fell by almost 17 in December 2015 against 2014.
According to Baker Hughes, within a year the number of drilling units in the world fell by 218 from 1,313.
In the USA the fall was from 1,882 to 1,168.
Now there are 714 drilling units left in the USA.
Despite of the reduction of drilling units, the extraction and production of oil in the USA hasn’t fallen.
The US oil companies extracted about 9.2 mln barrels of oil a day within the last week.
In November 2015 the number of drilling units on oil and gas extraction around the world fell by 39.
