Joining of Iraq to TANAP project to give economic and political benefit to Azerbaijan

Export of Iraqi gas to the European market through the TANAP pipeline will increase the profitability of this project first and foremost, expert of Centre of Strategic Surveys under President of Azerbaijan Gulmira Rzayeva.
As it is known, at the first stage the TANAP’s throughput capacity will make up 16 billion cubic meters of gas. Gas from the Shah-Deniz will be delivered to Europe via this pipeline. At the first stage, 6 billion cubic meters will be supplied to Turkey and remaining 10 billion cubic meters - to the European market.
