The Tomsk region intends to return status of leading center of geological exploration

The Tomsk region and Western Siberia should return status of one of leading centers of geological exploration, its Governor Sergei Zhvachkin believes.

“Western Siberia should become one of centers of geological exploration again. Of course, we should create innovative and technological groundwork for development of difficult oil at the current fields. There are a lot of such reserves in our subsoil and that means that oil companies, scientists and innovators will have a lot of work,” - Sergei Zhvachkin stated after signing agreement between the Tomsk region and the Russian Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources in the field of geology and subsoil use.
