Bashneft has approved a new membership of Board of Directors after the transfer of 84% to the Government
The shareholders of Bashneft at the meeting on March 11th elected a new Board of Directors.
The election of a new Board is connected with the transfer of 84% of voting shares of Bashneft to the Government.
The new Board of Directors comprises the Minister of Land and Property Relations of Bashkortostan, E. Guriev, President, chairman of Bashneft, A. Korsik, first deputy Prime Minister of Bashkortostan, R. Mordanov, President of “Russia geology comunity”, V. Orlov, head of department of Rosimuschestvo, V. Sergeichuk, first deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, A. Texler, and chairman of Board of “SoyuzNefteGas”, Y. Shafranik.
As independent directors the following people were elected: a member of the Board of KAZ Mineral Plc, Ch. Watson, member of the Board of IG Seismic Services Plc, M. Dizhol and head of Considine Solutions Pty Ltd, A. Considine.
Out of the former representatives of the Board of Bashneft only 2 people were elected: head of Bashneft, A. Korsik, and independent director, Ch. Watson.
