First oil tanker in 2015 has left Prirazlomny deposit
The tanker “M. Ulianov” has shipped 70 thousand tons of oil to Europe extracted by “Gazprom Neft shelf” at the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform “Prirazlomnaya”. The tanker was the 5th from the start of development of the deposit.
“M. Ulianov” and “K. Lavrov” are the oil loading tankers of strengthened ice class (Arc6) with double casing which provide oil shipment from the Prirazlomny deposit. Both vessels are constructed in Saint-Petersburg specially for all-year-round oil transportation from the platform. They belong to “Sovkomflot” and are in long-term rent by “Gazprom Neft shelf”.
Moreover, the transport system of the Prirazlomny project comprises 2 multifunctional ice breaking vessels that allow to hold a full cycle of works for uninterrupted supply and safe functioning of Prirazlomny deposit. The vessels ship cargo and personnel to the platform, provide technological and ecological safety of works. In case of necessity they will help to eliminate the consequences of emergency cases at the platform. All the vessels can move through ice with the back of the deck that provides the additional flexibility in difficult ice conditions.
