Gaysky GOK to increase underground mining by 5% in 2016

​Gaysky GOK PJSC (in the structure of UGMK) in 2016 plans to increase the underground mining by 5% to 6.5 mln tons of ore.

The investment volume into the development of the underground mine of the GOK will exceed 1.3 bln roubles. The funds will be spent on the strategic project “Development of deep horizons of the underground mine at 830-1,310 m” aimed for the production rise of the underground mine up to 7 mln tons of ore a year.

In fact the Gaysky GOK constructs a new mine at the existing one. Overcoming technological difficulties this construction will allow us to annually increase the existing capacities of the underground mine on ore extraction, the chief engineer of the Gaysky GOK, A. Tulenkov, said.

In Q2 2016 the enterprise will put into operation the repair point of the self-moving equipment and mining equipment located at the depth of 990 m. The equipment working at 830-1,075 m will be maintained there.
