In May spot prices of polypropylene (PP) in Asia will be under the pressure of low demand and the opening of new facilities in the region, ICIS informs, citing sources in the market.
In late April China Coal Mengda New Energy & Chemical Industry has launched a new plant for the production of PP with the capacity of 300 thousand tons per year. By the end of May China's Xinjiang Shenhua Chemical Industrial intends to launch a new production of PP with the capacity of 360 thousand tons per year.
