Analyst: The UK and Iberian countries will make up the basis for Gazprom’s new LNG sales markets
Gazprom is choosing a ground for construction of a new plant for production of LNG in Russia, some sources close to the company and vice-governor of the Leningrad Region Dmitry Yalov reported. Yalov knows that Gazprom and the region are going to sign a memorandum at the Iternational Economic Forum in St. Petersburg which will start on June 20.
As told by the official, Gazprom is choosing between two regions – Kingisepp and Vyborg. Both sectors where Baltic LNG plant can be built are near the shore – in the south of the Gulf of Finland in the Kingisepp Region (Ust-Luga and Vistino ports) and in the north in the Vyborg Region (the ports of Vysotsk, Vyborg and Primorsk).
