Alrosa holds meeting of its Supervisory Board

A source in Alrosa has told some details of the Supervisory Board’s meeting, at which, as usual is after the annual general meeting of shareholders, a chairman of the Board is elected.

It also was to approve the extension of the contract with Alrosa’s president, Fyodor Andreyev. His election at the annual general meeting of shareholders in the company's Supervisory Board was regarded as a sure sign that his contract would be extended.

Therefore, the meeting of the Alrosa’s Supervisory Board was expected without special interest: many believed that only pre agreed personnel decisions would be approved.
