SOCAR reduced oil extraction by 8.7% in January-May 2016

In January-May 2016 SOCAR reduced oil extraction by 8.7% against January-May 2015 to 3.161 mln tons.
In January-May 2015 oil extraction of SOCAR made up 3.462 mln tons. In 2015 the company reduced oil extraction to 8.160 mln tons, by 1.92% less than in 2014.
In total in Azerbaijan, including foreign companies, 41.586 mln tons of oil were produced in 2015 – 1% fall.
Gas extraction by SOCAR in January-May 2016 fell by 5.4% to 2.650 bln cubic m against January-May 2015.
