Russia can raise the duties for steel bars imports from the Ukraine from September

Under the note of the department for the protection of the internal market of the United Economic Community, on August 27th they will hold the public hearings in Moscow devoted to the antidumping investigation against imports of the Ukrainian steel bars to Customs Union. The investigation began in November 2013. On August 19th 2014, the Eurasian Economic Commission could agree the decision on the increase of the antidumping duties for steel bars imported from the Ukraine. The duty can increase from 5% to 9.81%. The preliminary duties are valid for 4 months.

The initiators of the investigation are Evraz ZSMK, NSMMZ, ChMK, Severstal and MMK. The point of the investigation is hot rolled steel bars with equal solid cross section along the full length in a form of circles, in coils, or cut by fixed length.
