Nizhnekamskneftekhim is about to double MEG production

Nizhnekamskneftekhim, a part of the TAIF Group, the leading Russian producer of synthetic rubber and plastics plans to increase mono ethylene glycol (MEG) production two times, according to the company.

The launch of the second facility on the production of mono ethylene glycol with the production capacity of 95 thousand tons a year is in plans of the company in the near future. The facility was built as far back as in 1990 and closed down afterwards. The company is about to produce up to 200 thousand tons of MEG a year in the future.

According to preliminary plans, the launch of the facility will take place in the second half of August 2015.
