SIBUR and BASF extend contract on the supply of additives for polymers

SIBUR, one of the largest producers of petrochemical products in Russia, and German chemical concern BASF have extended their long-term cooperation agreement on the supply of additives for polymer production at the enterprises of the Russian company, runs the company’s statement.

Under the agreement, the German company will continue to supply additives for production of polypropylene, polyethylene, synthetic rubber and thermo elastoplast to SIBUR.

The parties will also continue to work on joint projects for the development of new grades of polypropylene, the optimization of the stabilizing of polymers and the implementation of customer specific blends at the enterprises, which contribute to the efficiency of production and the stability of product quality.
