Lukoil suggests to grant new shelf licenses under the decision of interdepartmental commission and to compile consortiums from the companies – the Russian residents

Lukoil suggests to found under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment protection an  interdepartmental commission for qualification of the subsoil users and trying of the applications for granting of the subsoil use rights for the Russian shelf, the Vice President of Lukoil I. Mandrik says at the Conference RAO/ CIS Offshore.

Lukoil promotes the liberalization of access for the private companies to the Russian continental shelf development. Recently the chief of Lukoil, V. Alekperov asked the President of Russia V. Putin to introduce the amendments to the Law about Subsoil in order to allow private companies to operate on shelf deposits if they had obtained the license for them before.
