New gas deposit may be developed in the Murmansk region

The Murmansk gas field, located on shelf of the Barents Sea in 200 km from the coast of the Kola Peninsula, may become an alternative to the Shtokman field. According to materials of the 11th International Exhibition and Conference on the development of the Russian Arctic’s oil and gas resources development, which was opened in St. Petersburg, the creation of the Murmansk project, which intends the field development, has been started already.
