RITEK has determined 31 sites for exploration and hydrocarbons extraction

Lukoil’s affiliate, RITEK, plans to expand its activity by means of extraction at the deposits both in traditional and new regions.

In H1 2015 Ritek studied 44 sites in 7 regions of Russia, 31 out of which were proved perspective for licensing aiming or the search, exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons. The total area of these sites is about 30 thousand sq km.

Moreover, Ritek keeps developing, testing and implementing new technologies for the extraction of scavenger reserves, in particular, the technology of thermal gas treatment on the layers of the Bazhenov Suite, including with the drilling of horizontal wells with the multi-zone layer hydrofracturing. Currently the resource base of Ritek by 60% consists of scavenger oil reserves, the structure of which comprises the Bazhenov, Abalaksky and Domanic, Tyumen Suite layers as well as deposits with highly viscous oil.
