Gold production is up, silver production is down in Chukotka

In January-October 2013 the subsurface users of Chukotka increased gold production by 20% to 18.23 tons against the same period last year. Silver production is down by 13% to 137.225 tons. To date the most volume of precious metal production fall on the enterprises, which develop ore fields.

Chukotka mining and geological company has produced 11.41 tons of gold (-0.6 tons against 2012) and 130.69 tons of silver (-26.75 tons against 2012) at the deposit Kupol since the beginning of the year.
