Gazprom Neft plans to increase its resource base to 2.7 bln tons of oil equivalent by 2016

Gazprom Neft forecasts the growth of its resource base by Jan 1st 2016 to 2.708 bln tons of oil equivalent, by 5.9% more than in 2014, is said in the presentation to the report of the head of the department for geological exploration and resource base development of Gazprom Neft, A. Vishkevich.

Thus within a year the growth of the resource base will make up 153 mln tons of oil equivalent, by 1.7 times less than the yearly growth as of the beginning of 2014.

Gazprom Neft also forecasts that in 2015 the success of the exploratory and prospective drilling will make up 90%, coefficient of recovery of reserves in 2014-2015 will reach 244%.

Gazprom Neft has a significant resource base the volumes of which annually grow by means of active geological exploration works, development of deposits and purchase of new assets in Russia and overseas.

On the basis of the report of the engineers, as of December 31st 2014 the total reserves of Gazprom Neft’s “proven” and “probable” hydrocarbons, including the company’s stake in the reserves of its affiliates under PRMS-SPE, made up 2.55 bln tons of oil equivalent having increased by more than 11% against 2013 (excluding NIS, Serbia). The growth made up 264 mln tons of oil equivalent.
