Falling oil price forces OPEC members to hold emergency meeting

OPEC members are going to hold an emergency meeting in early March. Members of the oil cartel will decide how to deal with the decreased oil prices. The fact is that several countries requested to convene the emergency meeting, the Minister of Oil of Nigeria and President of the OPEC’s conference Emmanuel Ibe Kachikvu reported. His words were cited by the Reuters.

The organization's representative pointed out that the possibility of changing the strategy of the cartel in view of the changed situation on the world energy market will be discussed at the meeting.
