Georgia announces of repeated breaks in Azeri gas supply

​In a number of cases SOCAR doesn’t provide continual gas supply to Georgia, the CEO of GOGC (Georgia Oil and Gas Corporation), D. Tvalabeshvili said.

The stake of gas extorted at Shakh-Deniz is about 30%, gas sold to SOCAR- 50%, 20%- to the Russian company. Recently gas consumption in Georgia has significantly risen. Sometimes there are problems with gas supply from SOCAR’s gas pipeline. So in a number of cases we have to keep the balance on the account of the Russian gas, D. Tvalabeshvili said.
